Hey there,
The smallest shortcuts save the most time -- you just have to know they exist.
I almost didn't include these in the newsletter because I thought, "These are so simple, does anyone really not know about these?" Then I showed a couple of people, and they were genuinely stunned. They'd been doing it manually for years. If you live in Salesforce and Slack like most sellers do, this one's for you.
Here's what we're covering today:
Why tab and notification clutter costs you more than you think
The Salesforce shortcut that closes all your tabs instantly
The Slack shortcut that marks everything read in one move
Let's get into it.
2 Keyboard Shortcuts To Kill Tab Clutter With Less Friction Even if You Think You Already Know Them
To get your time back, you have to eliminate the small drags on your day -- not just the big ones. These two shortcuts do exactly that.
Here's what to add to your workflow today.
Shortcut 1: Salesforce -- Shift + W
If you're a seller, you're probably in Salesforce all day. Tabs stack up fast, and before you know it you've got dozens sitting across the top of your screen. Most people either ignore them until they become unmanageable or close them one by one, by manually clicking the little X on each tab.
That is a quiet time killer.
Hit Shift + W while you're in the Salesforce application, and it will prompt you to close all your open tabs at once.
Done. Clean slate.
No more tab graveyard eating your screen real estate and your mental energy.

Shortcut 2: Slack -- Shift + Escape
Red Slack notifications are the enemy of focus. Most people feel compelled to read every one or manually open each channel to clear the badge. Neither of those is a good use of your time.
Hit Shift + Escape anywhere in Slack, and it marks everything as read instantly. The red dots disappear. Your Slack looks clean. You didn't have to touch a single channel.
Now, I'm not recommending you ignore messages. I'm recommending you engage with them on your own terms instead of letting the red badges dictate your attention.

That's it.
Here's what you learned today:
Shift + W closes all open Salesforce tabs at once
Shift + Escape marks all Slack notifications as read instantly
Small friction adds up -- removing it compounds over time
These won't change your life on their own. But that's kind of the point. This newsletter is built around small, stackable productivity systems -- and these two shortcuts are exactly that. Each one saves you 30 seconds. Do that a dozen times a day, across weeks and months, and it adds up to something real.
I’m curious, respond back and let me know if you already knew these existed…
